Empower Rehab Clinic is seeking a dedicated and skilled Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Chantilly, Virginia. Work Environment

This role is based in our outpatient office in Chantilly, Virginia, where our state-of-the-art facilities are designed to support excellent patient care. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, occupational therapists, and other specialists, in a collegial setting. We encourage open communication and collaboration to enhance patient outcomes and foster a healthy work culture. Weekly scheduled hours will be 40 hours with variable weekends as needed.

Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations and assessments of patients with orthopedic conditions, determining their capabilities, limitations, and goals.
• Developing individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, addressing each patient's unique functional limitations and disabilities.
• Implementing, modifying, and reevaluating treatment plans in collaboration with the patient and their healthcare team.
• Providing consultations to other healthcare providers regarding the continuum of care for each patient and ensuring seamless communication.
• Maintaining comprehensive documentation of patient interactions, treatment outcomes, and progress in accordance with all applicable laws and professional standards.
• Collaborating with interdisciplinary team members to discuss patient concerns, progress, and necessary adjustments to treatment protocols.
• Engaging in community outreach initiatives, helping to raise awareness about physical therapy services and the importance of rehabilitation.
• Participating in team meetings, contributing to quality improvement efforts, and sharing insights to enhance clinic operations and patient care.
• Supervising and mentoring support staff, ensuring they are effectively integrated into patient care workflows.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will work with primarily consist of individuals dealing with orthopedic issues including post-surgical rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain. Our diverse patient demographic encompasses various ages, backgrounds, and cultural contexts, requiring sensitivity and adaptability in care approaches. You will have the opportunity to impact patients' recovery and long-term wellness, providing them with tools for self-management and health maintenance.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates must meet the following requirements:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Virginia.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, enabling effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
• Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and familiarity with documentation software.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, preferred experience includes:

• A minimum of two years of experience practicing in an orthopedic or outpatient setting.
• Experience with programming that incorporates therapeutic exercise, manual therapy techniques, and modalities.
• Prior involvement in mentorship or supervisory roles is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits
