Work Environment

Our outpatient clinic is designed with patient-centered care in mind, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and facilities conducive to rehabilitation. You will work collaboratively with a team of physical therapists, support staff, and healthcare providers in a supportive environment where open communication and teamwork are paramount. Your workweek will span approximately 40 hours, with variable weekend availability based on clinic needs. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with orthopedic issues, devising personalized treatment plans to address their specific needs.
• Engage in ongoing assessments of patients' progress, adjusting treatment protocols based on their response to therapy.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans, exercises, and the overall rehabilitation process to foster understanding and compliance.
• Maintain precise documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, and patient progress per regulatory requirements, ensuring accuracy in billing and compliance.
• Facilitate open communication with interdisciplinary teams including physicians and referral sources to coordinate optimal patient care.
• Participate in community outreach efforts, marketing initiatives, and clinical education for students and new staff to uphold the clinic's reputation and services.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced staff and students, enhancing departmental knowledge and skills.
• Stay current with industry trends and developments by attending workshops, in-services, and continuing education programs.
• Advocate for patients' needs by consulting with healthcare providers and collaborating on comprehensive care strategies.
• Manage department resources efficiently, contributing to operational goals and cost-effective practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This position serves a diverse population of patients primarily dealing with orthopedic conditions, such as post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, chronic pain syndromes, and other musculoskeletal disorders. The therapist will adapt treatment approaches to cater to individuals of all ages and cultural backgrounds, ensuring a personalized therapeutic experience for each client.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required.
• A valid state license in Physical Therapy and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems and general computer skills are necessary for documentation and organization.
• Ability to work compassionately and professionally with patients from varying backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of professional experience in outpatient orthopedic physical therapy is preferred.

Compensation and Benefits
