Work Environment

Located in the heart of Fairfax Station, Virginia, our clinic provides an onsite work setting that emphasizes teamwork and direct patient interaction. The rehabilitation facility is equipped with advanced tools for therapy, enabling our skilled practitioners to deliver superior treatment. You will collaborate closely with one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) and two other physical therapists, ensuring that our patients receive comprehensive and continuous care throughout their therapy journey.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to determine patient needs and establish individualized therapy goals.
• Deliver quality outpatient orthopedic therapy to two to three patients per hour, focusing on techniques that restore mobility and function while minimizing pain.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities.
• Monitor patient progress through regular evaluations and adapt treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and resources to patients on wellness and injury prevention strategies.
• Engage in regular collaboration with other healthcare providers to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care services using EMR software such as WebPT.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patient population primarily consists of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. We emphasize a holistic approach to rehabilitation, supporting our patients not only in their physical recovery but also in achieving their lifestyle goals. You will play a critical role in helping patients regain their independence and functionality through targeted therapy and education.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited program.
• Current Virginia Physical Therapist license, with no disciplinary actions or board sanctions.
• Strong manual therapy skills and competencies in therapeutic exercises is essential.
• Proficient in using EMR systems, particularly WebPT, for maintaining patient records and documentation.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred.
• Familiarity with contemporary rehabilitation techniques and modalities.
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team is an advantage.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 100,000 annually.
