Enterprise Account Executive

Job Description
Financial Services | Enterprise Sales | New York City
\n \nWe are conducting a confidential search for an accomplished Enterprise Account Executive to join a highly respected professional development and financial training company serving many of the world's largest financial institutions.
\n \nThe company already has relationships across 19 of the top 20 institutions in its market , creating a rare enterprise sales opportunity.
\n \nThis role is built for a commercially aggressive, polished enterprise seller who knows how to hunt, create pipeline, navigate sophisticated buyers, and carry a complex consultative sales process from first conversation through close.
\n \nWhat Success Looks Like
\n \nBuild and Own a $1M+ Enterprise Pipeline
\n- \n
- Take responsibility for developing a healthy pipeline capable of supporting a $1.2M annual quota . \n
- Approximately half of that pipeline will need to be self-generated, requiring disciplined prospecting, account research, relationship development, and strategic outbound activity. \n
Expand Within Major Financial Institutions
\n- \n
- Map large financial organizations beyond the obvious decision-makers. \n
- Identify divisions, business units, geographies, leadership groups, and stakeholder populations that represent new revenue opportunities, even when the broader institution is already a client. \n
- Success means seeing a large institution as dozens of potential opportunities rather than a single account. \n
Break Into New Enterprise Accounts
\n- \n
- Create opportunities where no active relationship currently exists. \n
- Research organizations deeply, identify the right entry points, develop relevant messaging, and create executive-level conversations without depending entirely on inbound leads or BDR-generated meetings. \n
Run Sophisticated Consultative Sales Cycles
\n- \n
- Own the process from prospecting and discovery through solution development, presentation, negotiation, and close. \n
- Manage opportunities ranging from approximately $75K to $1M in annual contract value across sales cycles that can range from roughly six weeks to six months. \n
Become Credible With Sophisticated Financial Buyers
\n- \n
- Develop fluency in the financial services industry, its structure, terminology, priorities, and buying dynamics. \n
- The strongest performer will be able to sit across from senior leaders at major financial institutions and communicate with the polish, intelligence, and commercial credibility expected in that environment. \n
Create Thoughtful Account Strategies
\n- \n
- Approach enterprise selling through research and strategy rather than high-volume activity alone. \n
- Understand how the organization operates, who influences decisions, where business needs exist, and how to create momentum across multiple stakeholders. \n
Become a Trusted Executive-Level Seller
\n- \n
- Represent the company professionally in front of senior and executive-level buyers. \n
- Success requires strong presence, energy, confidence, curiosity, and the ability to build rapport quickly without sacrificing professionalism or substance. \n
Consistently Create Momentum Without Waiting for It
\n- \n
- Work closely with Marketing and BDR resources while maintaining personal accountability for pipeline creation. \n
- The person hired should be comfortable creating opportunities independently rather than waiting for qualified meetings to appear on the calendar. \n
The Experience That Should Prepare You for This
\n \nThe company is looking for evidence that you have already performed successfully in a demanding enterprise sales environment.
\n \nA strong candidate will have:
\n- \n
- 5+ years of full-cycle, consultative enterprise sales experience \n
- Experience carrying and achieving quotas of at least $1M annually \n
- A demonstrated history of strong sales performance \n
- Experience selling into the financial services industry \n
- Deep familiarity with sophisticated financial institutions and the ability to speak credibly with their stakeholders \n
- Experience generating a meaningful portion of your own pipeline \n
- A track record of breaking into new accounts or expanding within large existing customers \n
- Experience managing multi-stakeholder enterprise sales cycles \n
- Strong executive presence and highly polished communication skills \n
- A research-driven, analytical approach to selling \n
- Evidence of professional stability and progression, with meaningful tenure in prior organizations \n
- The ability to operate independently in a growth-oriented environment where initiative matters \n
Why Someone Would Consider This Move
\n \nThis opportunity makes sense for an enterprise seller who already knows how to hit a number and wants the quality and complexity of the selling environment to increase.
\n \nYou will have the opportunity to move toward:
\nMore strategic enterprise selling
\n- \n
- Work inside some of the world's largest financial institutions where organizational complexity creates multiple paths to expansion. \n
More executive exposure
\n- \n
- Sell to sophisticated senior buyers who expect commercial credibility, strong preparation, and thoughtful discovery. \n
More ownership
\n- \n
- Control the entire sales cycle and take meaningful responsibility for creating the opportunities required to hit your number. \n
More account-expansion potential
\n- \n
- Enter organizations where existing brand credibility may already exist while still having significant white space across business units, geographies, and stakeholder groups. \n
More upside from strong performance
\n- \n
- Carry a meaningful enterprise quota within a business where high performers can directly influence growth through both new-logo acquisition and account expansion. \n
The Environment
\n \nThis is a growth-oriented company with established credibility across the financial services industry and relationships with many of the world's largest financial institutions.
\n \nThe sales culture rewards people who are intellectually curious, commercially aggressive, polished, and willing to do the work required to understand an account before approaching it.
\nThis is not a transactional, high-volume sales environment.
\n \nThe strongest performers will research deeply, understand the customer's world, develop account strategies, and create opportunities through preparation and persistence.
\n \nLocation: New York City .
\nBase salary: $150,000 | 300K OTE
\n \nWho Should Have the Conversation
\n \nYou may already be doing well in enterprise sales. The question is whether your current role gives you the opportunity to sell into some of the most sophisticated financial institutions in the world, own complex enterprise relationships, and create significant new revenue inside accounts with substantial untapped potential.
\n \nIf you have 5+ years of enterprise sales experience, finance-industry credibility, a history of carrying $1M+ quotas, and the energy and executive presence to win with demanding buyers , this may be worth exploring.
