Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the unique needs of clients.

• Monitor and assess client progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting interventions as necessary to meet evolving needs.

• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, medical professionals, and social workers, to develop comprehensive intervention plans.

• Perform follow-ups with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring continuity of care and effective communication.

• Identify and mitigate potential barriers to recovery, providing clients with strategies to enhance their coping mechanisms.

• Empower family members and primary caregivers by providing guidance and support in managing mental health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your role at Maple Valley Counseling Center will involve working with a diverse patient population, including children, adolescents, and adults facing various mental health challenges. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field is required, with a Master’s Degree in Mental Health Counseling or similar preferred.

• A valid Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in Washington state.

• Demonstrated experience in mental health counseling or a similar therapeutic role.

• Comprehensive knowledge of psychiatric medications and their effects.
