Key Responsibilities

• Direct physical therapy services aimed at preventing disability, alleviating pain, and enhancing muscle function according to individualized plans of care.
• Oversee and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants to ensure the appropriate and effective implementation of treatment plans.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients' physical abilities, utilizing diagnostic tests to assess muscle, joint, and functional capabilities.
• Assess clients' home environments to formulate recommendations that promote their independence and safety during rehabilitation.
• Implement and guide clients through therapeutic exercises, both manual and non-manual, and provide motivation throughout the treatment process.
• Administer non-invasive treatments such as traction and massage to support rehabilitation goals.
• Evaluate, fit, and recommend modifications for prosthetic and orthotic devices as part of the rehabilitation process.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and regularly update comprehensive care plans emphasizing holistic rehabilitation.
• Document client progress meticulously through clinical records, including evaluations, care plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Engage in team meetings and case discussions to share insights, challenges, and strategies that enhance client care.
• Educate clients and their families about physical therapy devices and self-care strategies associated with their treatment plans.
• Maintain compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations concerning therapy practices and patient care.
