Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Physical Therapist to join our dynamic team in Brookhaven, New York. Our expansive 5000 square feet sports medicine practice is equipped to handle a diverse range of rehabilitation needs, primarily servicing patients with private medical insurance. Our team consists of two experienced physical therapists and a skilled physical therapy assistant, working collaboratively to implement comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each patient's unique requirements.

Work Environment

This role is set in a collaborative and supportive onsite environment that encourages teamwork and communication. Our practice focuses on personalized care, where therapy sessions are scheduled for one patient per hour, ensuring that you can dedicate your full attention to the individual needs of each client. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments to recognize and fulfill each patient's goals and needs effectively.
• Design and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing a variety of therapeutic techniques, ensuring patient-centered care.
• Utilize manual therapy techniques and develop exercise programs that are tailored to each patient's physical capabilities.
• Maintain a patient caseload while ensuring timely and accurate documentation of services provided.
• Monitor and evaluate patient progress, making necessary modifications to treatment plans based on their response to therapy.
• Educate and motivate patients throughout their treatment journey, encouraging them to participate actively in their rehabilitation.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care and achieve optimal patient outcomes.
• Promote health and wellness by advising on lifestyle modifications that enhance strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on clients recovering from orthopedic conditions, which may include post-operative rehabilitation, sports injuries, and chronic pain management. By understanding their unique challenges, you will be able to create effective strategies that expedite recovery and enhance overall functionality. Your role will encompass the entire therapeutic journey from the initial evaluation to discharge, with the ultimate goal of enabling patients to regain their independence and improve their quality of life.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• An active Physical Therapist license in New York is mandatory, with no recorded instances of board actions or disciplinary measures.
• Demonstrated proficiency in manual therapy techniques, showcasing your ability to address complex orthopedic cases.
• Experience in developing and executing tailored exercise programs that align with best practices in physical therapy.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, for efficient patient documentation and care coordination.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting.
• A strong background in applying evidence-based interventions to enhance patient outcomes.
• Prior work experience in sports medicine or a similar rehabilitation environment is highly desirable.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is competitive, between USD 90,000 to 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
