Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use disorders, identifying any co-occurring conditions to inform treatment planning.

• Work collaboratively with clients to develop personalized treatment plans targeting their specific mental health and substance use needs using evidence-based interventions.

• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions to empower clients with coping strategies, relapse prevention tools, and emotional regulation skills, contributing to their overall recovery.

• Coordinate closely with a multidisciplinary team consisting of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to provide a cohesive and holistic treatment experience.

• Implement regular substance use monitoring and apply motivational interviewing techniques to encourage client engagement in their recovery goals.

• Provide educational resources to clients and their families about the relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, highlighting the importance of adherence to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The therapist will primarily work with individuals who are navigating the complexities of co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders, often characterized by dual diagnoses. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapies and methodologies for co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A thorough understanding of the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders, with an ability to communicate effectively about these issues with clients.

Preferred Experience\n

A minimum of two years of relevant experience working with clients facing co-occurring disorders in clinical settings will be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits\n
