UM Administration Coordinator - Healthcare

The UM Administration Coordinator 2 contributes to administration of utilization management. The UM Administration Coordinator 2 performs varied activities and moderately complex administrative/operational/customer support assignments. Perform computations. Typically work on semi-routine assignments.

The UM Administration Coordinator 2 provides non-clinical support for the procedures ensuring best treatment, care or services for members receiving Behavioral health services. Decisions are typically focus on interpretation of area/department policy and methods for completing assignments. Work within defined parameters to identify work expectations and quality standards, but has some latitude over prioritization/timing. Follow standard policies that allow for some opportunity for interpretation/deviation and independent.

Required Qualifications

  • 1+ year administrative experience in a healthcare field.

  • Working knowledge of MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook in a Windows-based environment and an ability to quickly learn new systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proficient using electronic medical record and documentation programs

  • Managed care experience

  • Proficient and experience with medical terminology or ICD-10 codes

  • Prior member service or customer service telephone experience

  • Experience with Utilization Review or Prior Authorization

Additional Information

  • Schedule/Time Zone: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Eastern Time. Some flexibility to work overtime/weekends

  • Work Location: US

  • Preferred Location: Ohio

  • Work Style: Remote

  • Travel Requirements: Minimal travel for office meetings 1-2 times annually only as needs require.

Work-at-Home (WAH) Internet Statement: To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is required; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested.

  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership.

  • Employees who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.

  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office employees with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.

  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information.

Interview Format: As part of our hiring process for this opportunity, we will be using an interviewing technology called HireVue to enhance our hiring and decision-making ability. Travel: While this is a remote position, occasional travel to Humana's offices for training or meetings may be required.

Pay Range

The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.

$40,000 - $52,300 per year
