Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and culturally sensitive mental health assessments to understand the unique experiences of patients from various backgrounds.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to each patient's needs.
• Provide individual, family, and group therapy sessions, addressing a wide array of mental health concerns, and empowering patients to develop coping strategies.
• Engage in collaborative practice with psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers to coordinate comprehensive care for patients.
• Administer crisis intervention services and support for patients in mental health emergencies, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Educate patients and their families on mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources to facilitate recovery.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in line with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Participate actively in team meetings, cultural competency training sessions, and case conferences to enhance service delivery.
• Stay current with relevant research, best practices, and cultural considerations in mental health therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current and valid license as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• In-depth understanding of mental health disorders and proven experience with evidence-based treatment methods.
• Strong skills in delivering individual and group therapy, demonstrating a culturally responsive approach.
• Exceptional crisis intervention capabilities and an ability to navigate complex emotional situations with calmness.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, fostering rapport with diverse patients and families.
• Proficient in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and standard computer applications.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in community health settings or social services, particularly within diverse cultural contexts.
• Experience conducting therapy via telehealth platforms or remote counseling methods.
• Demonstrated ability to work within multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers an annual salary in the range of $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience.
