Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations and prepare detailed intake summaries that include treatment plans and ongoing case summaries, ensuring adherence to state regulations and NCQA standards.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient records while tracking treatment progress; participate in an on-call rotation when needed to support clients in crisis.
• Supervise and mentor Post Masters Fellows, Associate Clinical Social Workers, Associate Marriage Family Therapists, or Associate Professional Clinical Counselors, if you have successfully completed the supervision course.
• Engage family members of clients by providing support, education on treatment strategies, and guidance on how they can assist in the recovery process at the client’s request.
• Utilize community resources and external organizations to enhance treatment options for clients, referring them to appropriate services as needed.
• Develop, implement, and assess clinical treatment programs targeting the needs of health plan members with both acute and chronic mental health disorders.
• Engage in staff meetings to collaboratively plan, evaluate, and enhance existing treatment programs for optimal patient outcomes.
• Provide psychotherapy to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring that treatments adhere to best practice guidelines.
• Counsel clients and their families on adherence to therapeutic interventions and medication compliance; administer specialized therapeutic procedures when appropriate.
• Design and facilitate psychoeducational classes and support groups to promote mental health awareness and skills development.

The clients you will serve encompass a diverse population, including individuals with mild to severe mental health issues. You will provide compassionate care that respects their unique backgrounds and experiences, fostering a therapeutic alliance aimed at promoting recovery, resilience, and well-being. Your approach will be person-centered, focusing on the individual needs and goals of each client.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in a behavioral science or a related field from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) in California.
• Demonstrated commitment to ethical practice and compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal regulations.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings is preferred.
• Experience working with diverse populations and proficiency in trauma-informed care approaches are advantageous.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems and teletherapy platforms is beneficial.
