Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and develop personalized treatment plans for patients seeking support related to their use of alcohol and other substances.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Trauma-Informed Treatment to facilitate healing and growth.

• Engage patients using strong clinical skills to foster trust and empathy throughout the therapeutic process.

• Maintain knowledge of community recovery resources such as Alcoholics Anonymous (AA), Moderation Management, and SMART Recovery, encouraging patients to integrate these supports into their recovery.

• Provide ongoing support and monitor patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary while documenting all sessions and interactions accurately.

• Have flexibility in your work schedule with no minimum hours required, ensuring that you have autonomy in your practice.

• Participate in monthly peer group meetings to support professional development and collaboration among fellow clinicians.

• Optional responsibilities include leading support groups and partnering with our Content Manager to create insightful health-related content.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will work with are individuals who are actively seeking to improve their relationship with alcohol, ranging from those seeking moderation to those pursuing abstinence. Your role will involve assessing their unique goals and challenges while employing a harm-reduction model that respects their personal recovery preferences. A commitment to providing a non-judgmental, supportive environment is crucial, enabling our patients to feel safe as they navigate their recovery journeys.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid and current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) license in the state of California.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, social work, counseling, or a related field is required, with further education preferred.

• Demonstrated training and experience employing various therapeutic techniques including CBT, DBT, motivational interviewing, and clinical management.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n

Cygnus Behavioral Health Services offers a competitive salary range of USD 120,000 to 140,000 annually, along with a sign-on bonus for new hires. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, access to retirement plans, and generous paid time off, employees are encouraged to pursue professional development opportunities. We also cover the costs for Continuing Education Unit (CEU) credits required annually.
