Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial assessments and evaluations to document each client's mental, emotional, and behavioral health, adapting the approach based on individual needs.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans for individuals, couples, families, and groups to promote effective recovery strategies.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities that resonate with client needs.

• Continuously monitor and assess client progress throughout treatment, making adjustments to intervention plans as necessary.

• Collaborate effectively with a range of healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure holistic client care.

• Follow up with medical providers regarding clients admitted to hospitals, ensuring seamless transitions between care settings.

• Identify and address behaviors that may hinder recovery, implementing proactive measures to support client improvement.

• Engage with family members and caregivers, offering guidance and resources to help them manage challenges associated with mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will predominantly focus on a diverse clientele who may face a range of mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse issues. You will play a crucial role in creating a safe and supportive environment for clients to share their struggles and experiences, with the ultimate aim of fostering their resilience and empowering them on their paths to wellness and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.

• A documented passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficient in the use of electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to facilitate efficient documentation and client management.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, alongside exemplary interpersonal skills.

Preferred Experience\n

• Demonstrated experience in counseling, specifically with populations suffering from various mental health conditions and addictive disorders.

• Familiarity with the best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

• A strong understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects, gained through experience collaborating with medical professionals on treatment plans.

• Prior involvement in family therapy and interventions aimed at supporting primary caregivers in understanding mental health challenges.

Compensation and Benefits\n

This role offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflective of experience and qualifications.
