Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Rehabilitation Specialist

This full-time position focuses on delivering high-quality orthopedic rehabilitation services in an outpatient setting. Work Environment

This position is exclusively onsite at our Toms River facility, where you will work alongside a collaborative team of two experienced physical therapists and a physical therapy assistant (PTA). Our work schedule runs Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance while meeting the needs of our patients. Our hands-on environment is designed to foster both professional development and teamwork, ensuring that our therapies are effectively implemented and monitored.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and identify the rehabilitation goals of patients in a healthcare setting, ensuring thorough understanding of their individual needs.
• Manage a diverse patient caseload with the objective of seeing one patient per hour, while delivering comprehensive treatment plans.
• Implement a variety of treatment techniques tailored to each patient's specific needs, focusing on enhancing motion, reducing pain, and improving overall function.
• Facilitate a reduction in the need for medications by providing alternative solutions to surgical interventions.
• Develop and update individualized care plans that outline specific therapeutic exercises and modalities, ensuring patient engagement in their recovery process.
• Motivate and educate patients throughout their rehabilitation journey, stressing the importance of maintaining an active and healthy lifestyle.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including physicians and specialists, to ensure holistic patient care.
• Document all services provided and monitor the effectiveness of treatments, adjusting strategies as necessary to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide guidance on fitness and wellness programs that are customized for each individual.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with patients who possess private medical insurance and are seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions. Our team is dedicated to serving a diverse population, including post-operative patients, athletes recovering from sports injuries, and individuals managing chronic pain. You will be expected to engage with patients compassionately, understanding that each recovery journey is unique.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Current certification as a licensed Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Demonstrated commitment to maintaining a clean professional record with no disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional skills in manual therapy techniques and patient assessment.
• Proficient in developing effective exercise regimens tailored to varied patient needs.
• Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) software, ideally platforms such as WebPT.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desired.
• Experience using evidence-based treatment methods and modalities within rehabilitation practices.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective patient engagement and documentation.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 100,000 to 120,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
