This position is entirely remote, allowing therapists to maintain a flexible schedule and work from various locations. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual in-home therapy sessions or group therapy sessions through telehealth modalities, ensuring accessibility and comfort for clients.

• Implement behavior management strategies including anger management, coping mechanisms, and the development of social skills, aimed at reducing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) and physical aggression.
\n
• Support caretakers by enhancing their decision-making skills and providing guidance on managing in-home behavioral challenges through tailored therapeutic interventions.
\n
• Engage in effective collaboration with the Child Family Treatment Team, maintaining open lines of communication with other professionals who contribute to the holistic support of the youth and family.
\n
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner, including intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes, to maintain organized case management.
\n
• Participate in monthly meetings to discuss case updates, share insights, and provide recommendations, ensuring continuous improvement in service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting a diverse population of children and adolescents aged 3 to 20 who exhibit developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. Therapists will work closely with families to provide empathetic, culturally sensitive therapy that addresses the unique circumstances of each child and their caregivers. Bilingual therapists fluent in Spanish or Portuguese are encouraged to apply, as this will enhance our service provision to non-English speaking clients within the community.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted LMFT license is essential to practice in the state of Oregon.

• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours per week during after-school hours (4-7 pm) with some weekend availability preferred.

• Experience in implementing positive behavior support strategies is necessary for success in this role.

• A valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle are required for home visits as necessary.

• Successful completion of a criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is mandatory for all candidates.
