Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to assess their needs and establish baseline data for treatment.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that utilize a variety of therapeutic techniques including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and modalities to alleviate pain and promote functional recovery.
• Document patient progress and treatment outcomes meticulously in our electronic health record (EHR) system, ensuring accurate record-keeping and facilitating communication with other healthcare team members.
• Reassess patients regularly to modify treatment plans based on their evolving needs and recovery progress.
• Educate patients and their families on exercises, correct body mechanics, and the use of assistive devices to optimize their recovery at home.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, such as occupational therapists, physicians, and nursing staff, to coordinate comprehensive care and ensure continuity in patient treatment.
• Participate in departmental meetings and clinical case reviews to enhance team communication and share best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on outpatient rehabilitation, treating a wide variety of patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and musculoskeletal pain syndromes. You will work extensively with both pediatric and adult populations, adapting treatment strategies to meet the unique needs of each individual.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A current and valid state license in Physical Therapy.
• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in an outpatient setting is required to ensure familiarity with various treatment approaches.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential to convey complex information clearly to patients and their families.
• Proficient in using electronic health records and standard office software for documentation and communication purposes.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits
