Work Environment

As a Physical Therapist at Gotham Enterprises, you'll operate primarily in patients' homes throughout Jersey City. This onsite role requires adaptability as you navigate different home environments and develop individualized treatment plans. You will be supported by administrative staff and other healthcare professionals, fostering a collaborative and communicative work environment that prioritizes patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of each patient's physical abilities, limitations, and needs to create effective treatment plans.
• Develop and implement personalized rehabilitation programs that promote mobility, reduce pain, and restore function.
• Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, proper body mechanics, and strategies to maximize their progress and independence.
• Document patient progress and modify treatment plans as necessary based on ongoing evaluations.
• Collaborate with other healthcare team members, including nurses and occupational therapists, to deliver coordinated and holistic care.
• Utilize physical therapy modalities and technology, such as ultrasound and electrical stimulation, to enhance therapeutic outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clientele served by Gotham Enterprises Ltd consists mainly of elderly patients managing chronic conditions, such as arthritis, stroke, and post-surgical recovery. Our Physical Therapist will have the opportunity to work with diverse populations, including pediatric patients and those in hospice care, focusing on improving their physical function and enhancing their overall well-being.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Solid understanding of physical therapy principles, as well as excellent patient assessment and intervention skills.
• Strong communication skills to effectively educate and motivate patients and their families.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in home care settings is highly preferred.
• Knowledge of the latest physical therapy practices and techniques, including manual therapy and exercise prescription.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) and documentation best practices.
