Work Environment

This position will be primarily onsite, providing in-home care to patients in the Jersey City area. Key Responsibilities

• Engage in consultations with patients to thoroughly assess their physical condition and understand their symptoms.
• Diagnose movement dysfunctions and formulate comprehensive treatment plans that enhance mobility and quality of life.
• Instruct patients on therapeutic exercise techniques, ensuring they understand the correct methodologies to follow for optimal results.
• Administer therapeutic modalities such as massage and stimulation therapy to promote healing and recovery.
• Assist patients with mobility devices, including wheelchairs or walkers, ensuring they can navigate their environments safely and independently.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, tracking progress against set goals, and adapting treatment plans as necessary.
• Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding at-home treatment options and exercises that support recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

We cater to a diverse patient population, including children with developmental disorders, adults recovering from surgeries, and seniors seeking to regain mobility and strength. Our therapists are tasked not only with treating physical ailments but also with ensuring that the emotional and psychological aspects of recovery are acknowledged and supported. Qualifications

• A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution.
• Registration and valid licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist in New Jersey.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective patient interactions and documentation.
• Proficient in word processing and basic computer skills for documentation and patient management systems.
• A dynamic, flexible approach to patient care, enabling adaptation to varied patient needs and circumstances.

Preferred Experience

• A minimum of two years in the field of physical therapy, particularly in a home care or outpatient setting, is preferred.
• Experience working with a variety of patient demographics, including children and older adults.
• Background in developing customized rehabilitation exercises to meet specific patient goals.

Compensation and Benefits
