Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individualized, evidence-based therapeutic interventions to students experiencing mental health challenges through remote sessions.

• Conduct thorough assessments to establish initial treatment plans and ongoing evaluations that measure student progress.

• Collaborate with school staff, parents, and external service providers to coordinate care and ensure a holistic approach to student well-being.

• Provide crisis intervention services when necessary, equipping students with coping strategies to manage acute mental health situations.

• Facilitate educational workshops and training sessions for school staff on mental health awareness, enhancing the overall support system within the school environment.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional ethical guidelines and Excela’s policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on school-aged children and adolescents who may be facing significant mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, learning disabilities, and trauma-related issues. You will be working with a culturally diverse population, necessitating a deep understanding of varied traditions, beliefs, and socioeconomic backgrounds to effectively engage and reassess treatment approaches.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.

• Strong foundational knowledge in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment methodologies specific to mental health, including crisis intervention and risk assessment.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to articulate complex concepts in accessible language for students and stakeholders.

• Demonstrated organizational skills, capable of managing a caseload effectively while ensuring detailed and timely documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of clinical experience working in mental health services, preferably within a school setting or with children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n

Excela Behavioral Health offers a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition, newly hired clinicians are eligible for a sign-on bonus!
