Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Molina Healthcare & Wellness Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Collaborating with primary care providers to identify and manage mental health and psychosocial issues, contributing to a comprehensive patient care approach.

• Conducting patient intakes, focusing on diagnostic and functional evaluations to make informed recommendations on treatment goals and plans.
\n
• Providing brief, focused interventions for clients requiring mental health support.
\n
• Determining the appropriate level of care, advising on whether patients will benefit more from primary care or specialty mental health facilities.
\n
• Implementing follow-up procedures to monitor patient progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
\n
• Developing relapse prevention strategies to assist patients in maintaining stability in their mental health.
\n
• Identifying at-risk patients and formulating prevention plans to avoid deterioration of their condition.
\n
• Coordinating health services related to behavioral health care and establishing connections with external treatment providers if needed.
\n
• Maintaining thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment plans in the healthcare system.
\n
• Collaborating with healthcare providers to adapt treatment approaches based on patient needs, promoting healthier lifestyle choices.

• Providing patients with self-management skills and educational resources to encourage their active participation in treatment.
\n
• Consulting with clinic management and team members about service delivery and program evaluation.
\n
• Offering guidance to patients regarding adherence to medical treatment prescribed by primary care providers.

• Upholding ethical standards in clinical practice through adherence to the Code of Ethical Conduct for Clinical Professionals.

• Performing other duties as assigned to contribute to the overall success of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Qualifications\n

The successful candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or a related field.
\n
• A current Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license in Tennessee.
\n
• Strong knowledge of mental health assessment, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and psychotherapeutic techniques.

• Ability to navigate the DSM-IV diagnostic criteria and apply appropriate therapeutic modalities.
\n
• Excellent skills in patient assessment and care coordination.
\n
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with patients and collaborate with other healthcare professionals.

• Ability to maintain accurate clinical records and prepare reports.
\n
• Capacity to make independent decisions grounded in professional knowledge.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be favored:

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish for better communication with a diverse patient population.

• Experience working in community healthcare settings or Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHCs).

Compensation and Benefits\n

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Additionally, we provide a comprehensive benefits package that may include health insurance, retirement plans, and a SIGN-ON BONUS to support your transition into our team.
