Job Description Job Description Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Seeking an enthusiastic Physical Therapist to support students in a dynamic educational setting for the upcoming academic year. This full-time contract opportunity runs from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, with consistent weekday hours—Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.—for a total of 35 hours weekly. The role is based onsite, working directly with students and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Key qualifications: Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in a school-based environment is highly preferred Familiarity with IEPs, completion of evaluations, writing Letter of Medical Necessity (LMN), and documenting progress monitoring Comfort with classroom equipment and an understanding of its applications in physical therapy Ability to supervise at least one Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) Training in Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) for PreK is a strong asset Strong organizational and communication skills; team-oriented attitude Must be available onsite for the entire contracted duration Primary responsibilities: Provide direct treatment services to students as outlined in their IEPs Perform comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and collaborate with educators and family members Document student progress and contribute to ongoing monitoring Supervise and mentor PTA(s) as required Contribute to equipment recommendations and setup within classrooms Maintain clear, accurate, and timely records in accordance with school guidelines Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary planning This role offers the satisfaction of making a tangible impact while building your school-based experience in a supportive, collaborative environment.
