School-Based Physical Therapist - Fayetteville, NC

Step into a fulfilling role as a Full Time Physical Therapist working in a dynamic school environment for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity offers a structured schedule of 35 hours per week, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM. As a key member of the student support team, you will play an essential part in helping students reach their full potential.


Qualifications and Experience Needed:

• Hold a current North Carolina Physical Therapist license
• Previous experience providing physical therapy services in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Understanding of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs), LMNs, and progress monitoring
• Experience with completing evaluations and providing direct treatment services
• Ability to supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs)
• Effective communication and collaboration skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy services to students in alignment with their IEP goals
• Complete thorough evaluations to identify student needs and inform intervention planning
• Develop, implement, and monitor progress on IEPs and maintain required documentation
• Create and submit Letters of Medical Necessity (LMNs) as appropriate
• Provide supervision, mentorship, and guidance to assigned PTAs
• Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment
• Ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines for school-based therapy services
