Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into an exciting contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist supporting students for the upcoming academic year. This full-time position, lasting from August 13, 2026, through May 21, 2027, is based onsite with a Monday through Friday schedule (8:00am–3:30pm, 35 hours weekly). You’ll play a pivotal role in student success, working alongside a collaborative educational team near Spring Lake, NC.

Leverage your expertise and make a noticeable impact in both individual and group settings within a dynamic school environment. You'll provide direct treatment, conduct evaluations, and support the development and monitoring of individualized education plans (IEPs). If you have a background in supervising PTAs or experience with Transdisciplinary Play-Based Assessment (TPBA) for preschoolers, your skills are especially valued.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Physical Therapy license in North Carolina
• Previous experience in a school-based setting strongly preferred
• Confident in delivering physical therapy treatment and completing evaluations
• Capable of developing, updating, and monitoring IEPs, LMNs, and progress reports
• Familiar with classroom equipment adaptations
• Proven supervisory experience with PTAs
• Training in TPBA PreK assessments is a plus
• Must be willing and able to work onsite

Key Responsibilities:

• Assess and provide treatment for students with diverse physical therapy needs
• Complete all required documentation, including evaluations and progress monitoring
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families on student care plans
• Supervise at least one PTA and provide effective support
• Implement creative therapeutic interventions based on individual student goals
