Senior Accountant POST NUMBER: 478826

We are working with a growing and dynamic organization in Orange County seeking a Senior Accountant on a temp-to-hire basis. This role will play a key part in supporting the accounting team through month-end close, financial reporting, and ongoing process improvements. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage full-cycle accounting activities including general ledger, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Assist with month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting
• Prepare and review balance sheet reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
• Maintain financial records and support the preparation of monthly financial statements
• Perform variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance
• Support audit requests and assist with year-end audit preparation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with finance and operational teams
• Drive process improvements and help streamline accounting workflows
• Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
• 5 years of progressive accounting experience (mix of public and industry preferred)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and month-end close processes
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, large data sets)
• Experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, Oracle, SAP, or similar) preferred
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
