We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant for a 2–6 month contract opportunity in Alhambra, CA.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities.
- Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
- Analyze financial statements and investigate variances.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure timely resolution of outstanding items.
- Assist with financial reporting and management reporting packages.
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis as needed.
- Maintain and improve accounting processes and internal controls.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate financial data.
- Assist with external audits and provide requested supporting documentation.
- Support special projects, process improvements, and ad hoc financial analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and company accounting policies.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including experience at the Senior Accountant level.
- Healthcare industry experience strongly preferred, including familiarity with healthcare accounting processes, reimbursements, or medical organization financial operations.
- Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including:
- Pivot Tables
- VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP
- SUMIFS
- Index/Match
