Facilities Coordinator

Job Description

The Facilities Specialist will support day-to-day facility operations at a large commercial cybersecurity campus in Santa Clara, California. Approximately 90% of the role will focus on event setup and breakdown, with about 5% dedicated to light technician and general facilities support. This is a highly customer-facing position requiring someone who is proactive, dependable, and has a strong customer-service mentality. The Facilities Specialist will report directly to the Technician Supervisor and work closely with the onsite facilities team. This is a 3-month contract with the potential to extend and possible opportunity for permanent conversion, although neither is guaranteed. The position is fully onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

Skills and Requirements

Minimum of 2 years of relevant facilities, building operations, event support, maintenance support, or related experience. Strong customer service skills and a customer-first mentality. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proactive mentality with the ability to identify needs and take initiative. Ability to perform frequent event setup and breakdown duties. Comfortable performing occasional light technician and general facilities tasks. Ability to work effectively with technicians, employees, and other onsite teams. Ability to work fully onsite in Santa Clara, Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. No specific certifications required. Previous experience as a Facilities Specialist, Facilities Coordinator, or in a similar facilities role. Experience supporting corporate events, conference rooms, or meeting-space setups and breakdowns. Experience working in a large commercial building or corporate campus. Exposure to basic building maintenance or light technician work. Experience working alongside facilities technicians, vendors, or property management teams. Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving skills.
