Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify individual needs and treatment goals.

• Develop, implement, and monitor personalized treatment plans that take into account the patient's developmental stage and family context.

• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and family therapy, addressing a wide array of mental health challenges.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers to nurture their children’s mental health and create supportive home environments.

• Collaborate actively with child psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary professionals to ensure integrated and cohesive care.

• Provide crisis intervention and support for individuals facing immediate mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health issues, available treatment methods, and community resources to encourage proactive involvement in their care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your work will primarily focus on children and adolescents dealing with a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders. Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, particularly working with children and adolescents.

• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders and familiarity with various treatment modalities.
