Our therapists work with children and adolescents, addressing the complexities of developmental disabilities and other cognitive challenges, earning an annual salary in the range of USD 80,000 to $100,000.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct individual therapy sessions with clients, utilizing evidence-based methodologies to address specific behavioral and emotional challenges.

• Implement strategies to improve coping skills, anger management techniques, and social skills, frequently focusing on mitigating high-risk behaviors such as self-injury and aggression.

• Collaborate closely with Family Treatment Teams and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure cohesive treatment plans that support both the client and their families.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client progress, including intake assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes, adhering to organizational standards.

• Actively participate in monthly team meetings, offering insights and suggestions for continuous improvement.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our focus is on supporting children and adolescents aged 3-20 dealing with a variety of developmental disorders and cognitive difficulties. The selected therapists will engage directly with families, navigating the unique challenges associated with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD). This role is vital in impacting the lives of these youngsters, fostering a nurturing environment that promotes growth and healing.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Social Work, or related fields is required.

• An active and unrestricted Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license is essential.

• Availability for a minimum of 5 to 10 hours per week, particularly during after-school hours (4 PM - 7 PM), with some weekend flexibility desirable.

• Previous experience working with children aged 3-20, especially with those who have developmental and intellectual disabilities, is a major plus.

• Demonstrated ability to deliver positive behavior support and intervention strategies.

• Possession of a valid driver’s license and a registered vehicle for travel to client homes.

• A successful completion of a full criminal background check, including fingerprinting, is required prior to employment.
