Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients to identify their mental health needs and develop customized treatment plans addressing their specific challenges.

• Provide one-on-one counseling sessions, listening actively to patients’ stories and experiences to build trust and facilitate healing.

• Implement evidence-based treatment modalities, tailoring coping strategies and interventions to assist patients in managing trauma-related issues.

• Monitor patient progress regularly and modify treatment plans based on their evolving needs and improvement.

• Educate both staff and patients on effective coping mechanisms for managing stress and trauma, promoting resilience and self-help strategies.

• Work collaboratively with external social and medical agencies to coordinate holistic care and ensure patients have access to comprehensive support services.

• Engage in continuous professional development through completing necessary training and obtaining National Certified Counselor certification, ensuring familiarity with the latest therapeutic practices.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a closely related field.

• A valid and active Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) credential in the state of New York.
