Key Responsibilities\n

• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews and assessments, meticulously documenting client cases from the initial consultation through to treatment completion.

• Evaluating clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health by applying evidence-based practices and utilizing established assessment tools.
\n
• Developing tailored intervention and recovery plans suited to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and therapeutic groups.
\n
• Facilitating engaging and impactful individual and group therapy sessions that promote healing and growth.
\n
• Monitoring client progress throughout treatment, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on observed outcomes.
\n
• Collaborating effectively with other healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, for cohesive inter-professional care.
\n
• Performing follow-up care and communication with healthcare professionals for clients requiring hospitalization or additional support.
\n
• Identifying potential barriers to recovery and implementing preventive measures to promote ongoing wellness.
\n
• Providing education and support to family members and primary caregivers to assist them in navigating mental and behavioral challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our client base is diverse, consisting of individuals across various age groups and backgrounds, all seeking support for mental health challenges. We cater to clients dealing with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, trauma, and other mental health conditions. Your role as a mental health counselor will be crucial in delivering personalized care tailored to each client's specific circumstances and developmental needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Active and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, with a strong foundation in therapeutic techniques and client care.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems, including AVATAR, to manage client documentation and progress notes effectively.
\n
• Knowledge and experience related to co-occurring physical health issues and addiction-related disorders.
\n
• Familiarity with the best practices endorsed by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and empathetic nature.

Preferred Experience\n

• A background in working with diverse populations and varying mental health issues.

• Experience in telehealth counseling or a strong understanding of remote therapy dynamics.

• A deep understanding of the pharmacological treatments prescribed by medical specialists and their impact on mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive annual salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, along with a sign-on bonus for select candidates.
