Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Atrium, you will undertake the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct detailed evaluations of patients' physical conditions, taking into account functional limitations and disabilities.
• Design individualized treatment plans based on thorough assessments and patient needs.
• Implement therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, exercise programs, and patient education.
• Measure and analyze patient progress, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to optimize outcomes.
• Document evaluations, treatments, and patient interactions accurately and promptly, utilizing electronic health record systems.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, referring physicians, and healthcare providers regarding patient care strategies.
• Engage in community outreach programs and contribute to marketing initiatives to promote physical therapy services.
• Supervise and mentor support staff, fostering their professional development and ensuring adherence to best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient demographic, including individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, neurological conditions, and chronic pain syndromes. Your approach will emphasize empathy and respect as you engage patients from various backgrounds and cultures, adapting care to meet their unique needs and preferences.

Qualifications

To thrive in this role, candidates are required to have:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice physical therapy in New Jersey.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with patients and the healthcare team.
• Proficiency in computer applications, including word processing and electronic health record systems.

Preferred Experience

While a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in physical therapy is required, experience within an outpatient setting and familiarity with current rehabilitation technologies are strongly preferred. Additional certifications such as BLS (Basic Life Support) will further enhance your candidacy.
