Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the psychological, emotional, and behavioral needs of students.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessment findings in collaboration with students, parents, and school staff.

• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities to address diverse client needs.

• Monitor and document client progress through regular follow-up sessions, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Execute the duty to warn and mandated reporting processes when required by law, prioritizing client safety and well-being.

• Maintain updated client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards for confidentiality.

• Stay current with developments in the mental health field through ongoing education and review of clinical literature to enhance service delivery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients you will serve are primarily students in school settings who present a variety of challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and social difficulties. Your ability to engage effectively with a diverse student demographic and build trust will be critical to their therapeutic success.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or a related mental health field is required.

• Must hold a current professional license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• A minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a mental health setting, particularly within a school or community-focused environment.

• Proven proficiency in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), along with familiarity with additional therapeutic techniques.

• Strong diagnostic skills to conduct thorough evaluations and effectively develop treatment plans.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to foster productive relationships with clients, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in therapeutic practices are strongly preferred. Familiarity with school-based mental health programs and response-to-intervention models will also enhance your effectiveness in this role.
