Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments to evaluate the mental, behavioral, and emotional health of clients, documenting findings meticulously throughout the treatment process.

• Develop individualized treatment plans tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring alignment with best practices in mental health care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, integrating therapeutic techniques that guide clients in exploring personal issues and developing coping strategies.

• Continuously monitor client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to achieve desired outcomes effectively.

• Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, physicians, and social workers, to coordinate care and optimize client recovery pathways.

• Provide follow-up support for clients transitioning from inpatient care, ensuring seamless integration back into outpatient services.

• Assist family members and primary caregivers by sharing strategies to manage mental health challenges and enhance familial support systems.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in California.

• Successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counselor Examination (NCMHCE).

• Strong foundation in clinical assessments and therapeutic techniques that promote effective care delivery.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience as a mental health counselor working with a diverse clientele.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions and treatment plans efficiently.

• Experience in dealing with co-occurring physical and emotional health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.

• Familiarity with the guidelines and best practices promoted by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n
