Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct preliminary interviews, documenting cases thoroughly from initial consultations through the entire treatment process.

• Assess clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health conditions to inform treatment planning.
\n
• Create and implement personalized intervention and recovery plans suitable for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based practices and therapeutic techniques.
\n
• Monitor client progress regularly to adjust treatment plans as needed and ensure optimal outcomes.
\n
• Collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to provide comprehensive care.
\n
• Maintain consistent follow-up with any associated medical personnel for clients who may require additional hospital care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and apply preventive strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Support family members and primary caregivers in managing mental and emotional health challenges effectively.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will serve a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, all facing various mental health challenges, such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. Your role will be crucial in guiding these individuals through their unique circumstances, focusing on personalized care that fosters resilience and recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the state of California.
\n
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Proven experience as a mental health counselor, showcasing a strong understanding of therapeutic practices and client interactions.

• Familiarity with electronic health records systems, preferably AVATAR, to ensure efficient documentation and case management.

• Experience with managing complex mental health conditions, including co-occurring disorders and addiction.

• In-depth knowledge of the principles and best practices outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
