Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments and interviews, documenting all findings diligently from the initial consultation through the treatment continuum.

• Evaluate clients' mental, emotional, and behavioral health to identify issues and inform intervention strategies.

• Develop personalized intervention and recovery plans tailored to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring culturally competent care.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing therapeutic modalities suitable for varying client needs.
\n
• Regularly monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including other mental health counselors, physicians, nurses, and social workers, to deliver cohesive patient care.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and attending physicians for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.

• Identify barriers to recovery and implement strategies to mitigate these challenges.

• Provide guidance to family members and primary caregivers on managing emotional and behavioral complexities related to mental health conditions.

Qualifications\n

• Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure in California as a LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW is essential.

• Successful completion of the NCE and/or NCMHCE exams.

• Demonstrated prior experience in the role of mental health counselor is crucial for success.

• Knowledge of comorbid physical and emotional health conditions, alongside addiction disorders, is valuable.
