Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health needs and develop tailored treatment plans.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and mindfulness practices tailored to individual client circumstances.

• Maintain accurate and detailed client records, documenting therapy sessions, treatment plans, and progress notes while adhering strictly to confidentiality and ethical standards.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, ensuring holistic care and coordination for clients, and referring them to other services as necessary.

• Research and integrate the latest advancements in mental health treatment into clinical practice to enhance the effectiveness of care.

• Facilitate support groups and educational workshops to empower patients and their caregivers with essential knowledge about coping with cancer.

• Participate in ongoing professional development and training activities to continuously improve counseling techniques and strategies.

• Conduct remote and, when appropriate, in-person counseling sessions with individuals, couples, families, or groups.

• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The primary focus of this role is to provide mental health support to cancer patients at various stages of their journey, including diagnosis, treatment, survivorship, and end-of-life care. Qualifications\n

• Must possess a Master’s degree in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related discipline.

• Current Social Work License (LMHC, LMFT, LICSW) in accordance with state regulations is a requirement.
