Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and screenings to evaluate clients’ substance abuse histories and co-occurring mental health conditions.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address addiction issues alongside underlying mental health concerns, ensuring holistic care.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, applying evidence-based techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• Collaborate with other treatment team members to ensure a cohesive approach to care, integrating medical, psychological, and social aspects of recovery.

• Educate and engage clients’ families, promoting their involvement in the recovery process and enhancing their understanding of addiction.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with adults facing substance use disorders, providing support and treatment tailored to their unique challenges and backgrounds. Given the nature of our clinic, you will also encounter individuals with co-occurring mental health disorders, necessitating a comprehensive understanding of integrated treatment strategies.

Qualifications\n

• A valid and active license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD).

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a closely related field.

• Proven experience or specialized training in addiction counseling, showcasing relevant therapeutic techniques.

• Exceptional therapeutic and counseling skills, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and empower clients.

Preferred Experience\n

Experience in a substance abuse treatment setting or community health clinic is preferred. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and teletherapy platforms is also advantageous.
