Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, couples, and family therapy utilizing a variety of therapeutic modalities to address specific client needs.

• Conduct detailed assessments to determine clients’ mental health status, develop personalized treatment plans, and set realistic and achievable therapeutic goals.

• Apply family systems theory to address relationship dynamics, including communication barriers and family stressors that affect overall well-being.

• Respond effectively to crises by implementing immediate interventions and safety measures that prioritize the health and security of clients.
\n
• Maintain meticulous, confidential client records, documenting treatment progress and sessions in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Deliver psychoeducation, equipping clients with relationship-building skills and coping strategies to foster resilience.
\n
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other therapists, clinical social workers, and medical professionals to ensure integrated care approaches for clients.

• Commit to ongoing education by staying current with trends and advancements in marriage and family therapy practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will primarily work with clients experiencing a range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, and relationship difficulties. Our client base includes individuals and families from various cultural backgrounds and walks of life, many of whom are navigating the effects of chronic stress, familial conflict, or personal trauma. Your role will be crucial in providing culturally competent care and understanding the unique context of each client’s situation.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a valid Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) license in the state of Illinois.

• A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or a related field is required; a Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy is strongly preferred.

• At least one year of post-licensure experience providing therapeutic services is necessary.

• Excellent listening and communication skills, with a strong ability to build rapport and trust with clients.

• A commitment to the ethical delivery of services and maintaining client confidentiality.

• Self-motivated and capable of working independently while also functioning effectively as part of a collaborative team.

• Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate clients' needs is essential.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous work experience in an outpatient therapy setting is highly desirable.
