Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of students' social, emotional, and behavioral needs, particularly related to substance use challenges.

• Provide both individual and group counseling sessions addressing topics such as coping mechanisms, self-esteem, peer relations, and strategies for crisis intervention.

• Identify students who may benefit from additional specialized services or resources, ensuring they are referred appropriately.

• Advocate for students’ needs, ensuring they have access to the support and educational opportunities they require.

• Facilitate workshops and educational sessions on relevant topics such as mental health awareness, addiction prevention, and conflict resolution.

Your primary focus will be on students affected by substance use issues, supporting both their academic journey and personal development. Qualifications\n

• Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is required.

• At least two years of experience in a social work position, preferably within an educational setting or similar environment.

• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent development, behavior management techniques, and systems of support.

• Familiarity with applicable laws, regulations, and policies impacting student services and support.

• Exceptional assessment, counseling, and communication skills.
\n
• Demonstrated empathy, cultural awareness, and ability to promptly establish rapport with students and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
