Work Environment\n

This remote position allows for flexibility in working from your home office while maintaining close communication with our hospice care team located in Dallas, Texas. The full-time schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, affording a stable work-life balance while enabling you to focus entirely on your patients' mental health needs. Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver individual psychotherapy and mental health assessments tailored to the unique needs of hospice patients facing conditions such as anxiety, depression, and grief.

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients’ mental health status, incorporating emotional, behavioral, and social functioning to develop a holistic view of their needs.

• Create evidence-based and culturally sensitive treatment plans that align with each patient’s specific circumstances and preferences.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including medical professionals and caregivers, to ensure consistent and synchronized patient care.

• Adapt treatment strategies based on ongoing assessments, patient feedback, and monitoring of their progress throughout the care journey.

• Provide education and resources to patients and their families about mental health conditions, emotional coping strategies, and options available for community support.

• Uphold the highest standards of ethical practice, including patient confidentiality, informed consent processes, and documentation compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The clients served in this role are individuals experiencing life-limiting illnesses, their families, and loved ones. You will work closely with patients who may be dealing not only with the psychological impact of facing terminal conditions but also the complex emotions associated with end-of-life care. This role requires sensitivity, empathy, and the ability to provide support during a challenging and often emotional journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.

• Current state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

• A minimum of 3 years of experience providing psychotherapy and mental health services, particularly in a healthcare or hospice setting.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills that foster trusting relationships with both patients and healthcare teams.

• Proficient clinical skills that include thorough assessment and personalized treatment plan development.

• Deep understanding of mental health conditions, treatments, and the specific challenges faced by patients at the end of life.

• Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and adhere to professional standards in mental health practice.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in hospice or palliative care settings is strongly preferred, as well as knowledge about the emotional dynamics of end-of-life care.

• Previous experience collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams in treatment planning and delivery.

• Demonstrated ability to provide family counseling and support services.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 105,000 per year, commensurate with experience and credentials.
