National Sales Manager

Senior Commercial Manager – Freight Forwarding – Northeast U.S. (Hybrid) Keywords: Logistics Sales, Business Development, Team Leadership, Luxury Logistics, Freight Forwarding, Commercial Strategy About the Company We are representing an established international logistics provider specializing in high-value transportation and tailored supply chain solutions. With continued commercial growth, the business is looking to appoint an experienced sales leader who can combine personal business development with mentoring and supporting an existing commercial team. This is a high-impact opportunity with a genuine pathway into executive leadership. About the Role This is a hybrid commercial leadership position that combines individual sales responsibility with the day-to-day support and coordination of an established sales team. You will continue to develop your own customer portfolio while helping drive the performance, strategy, and development of a small group of Business Development professionals. Rather than simply managing activity, you\'ll play an active role in coaching, supporting, and helping the team succeed while contributing to the wider commercial direction of the business. This role offers a clear progression path into a senior commercial leadership position for the right individual. Key Responsibilities Generate new business and continue developing your own portfolio of strategic customer accounts Support, mentor, and coordinate the daily activities of an established sales team Monitor sales pipelines, customer activity, and performance through the company\'s CRM platform Lead regular commercial meetings to review priorities, opportunities, and pipeline progression Accompany team members on customer meetings and support strategic account development where required Provide coaching and commercial guidance to help maximize team performance Review travel plans, commercial initiatives, and business development activities to ensure alignment with company objectives Ensure sales activity is completed in accordance with internal policies and compliance standards Contribute to commercial planning, pricing discussions, and broader business strategy alongside senior leadership Candidate Requirements Proven success in freight forwarding or logistics business development Demonstrated track record of building a significant self-generated customer portfolio Previous experience leading, mentoring, or coordinating sales teams Strong background within luxury logistics, freight forwarding, or other premium transportation sectors (general cargo experience will also be considered) Experience working within the fashion, furniture, interiors, or similar customer markets is highly desirable Strong knowledge of European trade lanes, particularly Northern Europe Understanding of logistics services including transportation, warehousing, and 3PL solutions Experience working within businesses undergoing growth, acquisition, or organizational change is advantageous Strong commercial awareness, leadership ability, and relationship-building skills What You Can Expect Hybrid working environment with significant commercial autonomy Competitive base salary with performance-based incentive structure Direct exposure to executive leadership and commercial decision-making Opportunity to influence business strategy and future growth initiatives Clear progression into a senior commercial leadership role based on performance #J-18808-Ljbffr Navitex
