This position allows you to work remotely, enabling flexibility in your schedule. Our office operates in an outpatient setting, where you will engage with patients primarily through virtual counseling sessions. You will be expected to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with potential evening shifts as needed to accommodate patient schedules. • Deliver individual counseling sessions utilizing motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and other methods to facilitate patients' progress in recovery.

• Facilitate group therapy sessions, encouraging peer support and shared experiences among participants to enhance accountability in their recovery journeys.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and addiction medicine specialists to provide integrated care, ensuring that all aspects of a patient’s health are addressed.

• Provide crisis intervention support in emergencies related to substance use, using your expertise to stabilize situations and guide patients toward appropriate resources.

• Educate patients and their families about the nature of addiction, effective recovery strategies, and community resources available to support ongoing recovery efforts.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In this role, you will work primarily with individuals struggling with substance use disorders, including but not limited to alcohol, opioids, and other drugs. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Sound knowledge of substance use disorders, including evidence-based treatment modalities and recovery-oriented care practices.

• Demonstrated experience in providing individual and group therapy focused on addiction treatment and recovery.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, fostering positive relationships with patients through a non-judgmental and empathetic approach.

• Ability to uphold professional boundaries, maintain ethical practices, and ensure patient confidentiality at all times.

• Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems and necessary computer applications for documentation and patient management.
