Key Responsibilities\n

• Perform comprehensive, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate the effects of trauma on patients and guide treatment decisions.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans, focusing on trauma recovery, emotional resilience, and skill-building.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate patient engagement and progress.

• Lead individual and group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for clients to process their experiences and share coping strategies.
\n
• Work closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to create an integrated care plan that addresses the comprehensive needs of patients.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support, assessing and managing trauma-related emergencies as they arise.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on the effects of trauma, effective coping mechanisms, and community resources for additional support.

• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, safeguarding patient confidentiality.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through case consultations, training, and staying informed on the latest evidence-based practices in trauma therapy.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary clientele consists of individuals dealing with a range of trauma-related issues, including post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. We are dedicated to providing a supportive and empathetic environment where trauma survivors can safely explore their emotions, learn coping strategies, and work towards recovery.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in New York.

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience preferred, specializing in trauma-informed care.

• Comprehensive knowledge of trauma-related disorders and evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Demonstrated ability to build therapeutic relationships with clients, characterized by empathy and non-judgmental support.

• Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems for maintaining patient documentation.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions, particularly EMDR or TF-CBT.

• A background in collaborating within a multidisciplinary team to plan and execute patient-centered care.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The annual salary for this position ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000, commensurate with experience.
