Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess the severity and duration of mood disorder symptoms, engaging clients in open dialogue to understand their unique circumstances.

• Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), tailored to each client’s specific goals and needs.

• Implement therapeutic interventions while monitoring client progress and adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure the best possible outcomes.

• Provide education and support to clients and their families, informing them of treatment options, self-care strategies, and what to expect throughout the therapeutic journey.

• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other health professionals to provide a holistic approach to care, facilitating integrated treatment for clients.

• Document all client interactions and maintain detailed, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Take part in team meetings and case consultations to share insights and strategies, and engage in ongoing professional development opportunities.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The focus of this role is primarily on clients dealing with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. You will work closely with a varied demographic, including individuals from different socioeconomic backgrounds, refugees, and victims of domestic abuse. Your role is crucial in offering empathetic support and effective strategies to help these individuals regain control over their mental health.

Qualifications\n

• Must hold a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with prior experience in working with mood disorders, particularly in outpatient therapeutic settings, will be given preference. Familiarity with integrated care and prior experience in conducting group or individual therapy on complex emotional issues will be considered a strong asset.

Compensation and Benefits\n
