Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients to determine individualized therapy solutions tailored to their specific needs.

• Develop and implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions for diverse groups, including individual adults, couples, families, and children.

• Employ various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive and integrated client care.

• Document client progress and maintain accurate clinical records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

• Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops and training to stay abreast of the latest developments in mental health research and practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily serves individuals and families in the Waterbury community, many of whom experience barriers to accessing mental health care. You will work closely with clients dealing with a variety of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, substance abuse, trauma, and relationship issues. Your efforts will have a direct impact on enhancing clients' emotional well-being and fostering healthier relationships.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.

• An active and unrestricted license as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Connecticut.

• A minimum of two years of counseling experience is required, ideally within a clinical environment.

• A strong understanding of legal and ethical counseling standards is essential.

Compensation and Benefits\n

• The annual salary for this position ranges from $70,000 to $90,000, dependent on experience and caseload availability.
