Schedule: Day shift, 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage required (4 weekend shifts per 4-week period). Float within organization as needed. Call coverage required.

• Progressive Care/Stepdown unit caring for adult and geriatric patients with general chronic medical conditions
• Mixed-acuity environment with medical, surgical, acute care surgery, and ortho/trauma overflow patients
• Epic charting system experience required

• 13-week assignment in a dynamic progressive care setting

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (Compact or Ohio state license required at time of submission)
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; PCU or Stepdown experience strongly preferred
• Epic EMR experience required
• Trauma Level I or II experience preferred
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Nursing degree from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
• 2 professional references required (at least 1 from manager/director or formal leadership role)
• Flu vaccine required (medical exemptions only); COVID-19 vaccine not required
• Must complete Ohio fingerprinting process urgently upon contract signing

Clinical Skills:

• Telemetry monitoring and interpretation of dysrhythmias
• Central line and PICC line care and management
• Blood product administration and IV insulin protocols
• BiPAP/CPAP management and High Flow Nasal Cannula
• Chest tube management, tracheostomy care, and wound care/wound vac
• Management of cardiac and vasoactive drips (no titration)
• Pre/post surgical care including cardiac, neurosurgery, and orthopedic procedures
• PCA pumps, peripheral nerve block catheters, and continuous bladder irrigation
• Feeding tube care, surgical drains, and port access/management

• Unresponsive or uncooperative candidates during credentialing are at risk of assignment delay or cancellation
• Time off must be requested at submission and built into contract
• Former employees eligible after 6 months away from facility; current employees ineligible

Additional Information:

Parking permits available for purchase ranging from $196.20 to $748.58 depending on selected option. Float expectations include being first to float when scheduled. In situations of call-offs, travelers may be flexed first to 5 patients. Charge experience preferred but not required.
