Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Tenet Mental Healthcare, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Performing culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to understand their unique needs.
• Providing individual and family therapy sessions tailored to support therapeutic goals and informed by clients' assessments.
• Managing timely completion of necessary documentation, including billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms.
• Developing comprehensive crisis plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans that promote stability and functional well-being.
• Creating effective discharge plans that ensure clients transition smoothly from therapy to their daily lives.
• Adhering to all federal and state laws and regulations, as well as company policies, to maintain compliance and high ethical standards.
• Participating in continuing education opportunities to maintain and expand professional competence and skills.
• Engaging in case consultations and agency meetings to collaborate on patient care strategies.
• Completing all licensure and mandatory training as required by our organization.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our outpatient services cater to a diverse client population, ranging from children to adults who are facing a variety of mental health challenges. You will work with clients from varied backgrounds, tailoring interventions to each individual's unique circumstances and cultural context. The goal is to support our clients through their struggles, facilitate personal growth, and advance their mental health journey.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related field that meets licensure requirements.
• Active and valid licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Colorado (LPC, LMFT, LCSW).

Preferred Experience

While experience is beneficial, we value passion and commitment to mental health above all. Candidates with prior experience working in outpatient settings or those with specialized training in evidence-based therapy techniques are encouraged to apply.

Compensation and Benefits
