Step into a rewarding contract position supporting elementary students as a Special Education Teacher in a vibrant school environment. This role focuses on serving grades 4-6 with a mild to moderate caseload, offering opportunities to make a meaningful impact each day. The assignment runs from August 20, 2026, to June 10, 2027, with a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week (8-hour days and a 30-minute unpaid lunch). You will work closely with one instructional assistant and provide specialized instruction for up to 28 students.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid and active CTC licensure required
• Experience supporting elementary mild to moderate special needs caseloads
• Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive classroom
• Ability to collaborate with team members, including instructional assistants, service providers, and families
• Strong classroom management and communication skills

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students
• Provide differentiated instruction tailored to a range of learning needs
• Collaborate with the instructional assistant and other educators to support student goals
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Communicate regularly with families and participate in IEP meetings and school-based team activities
