Key Responsibilities

• Direct comprehensive physical therapy treatments aimed at preventing disability and alleviating pain in alignment with tailored care plans.
• Supervise and mentor Physical Therapy Assistants, ensuring adherence to prescribed treatment plans and maintaining the highest standards of care.
• Perform diagnostic evaluations to assess clients' functional abilities, formulating effective interventions.
• Evaluate home environments and make individualized recommendations for modifications to enhance client independence during rehabilitation.
• Deliver home-based physical therapy services as prescribed, focusing on the needs and preferences of each patient.
• Administer specialized therapeutic exercises and manual techniques designed to promote recovery and improve muscle function.
• Implement treatments such as traction therapy and various massage techniques to aid in patient rehabilitation.
• Carefully assess and recommend adjustments to prosthetic and orthotic devices based on individual patient requirements.
• Participate actively in the development, review, and update of patient care plans, ensuring collaborative treatment approaches.
• Maintain accurate clinical records, fulfilling documentation requirements in compliance with healthcare regulations.
• Engage in interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing valuable insights during case conferences to enhance patient outcomes.
• Advise clients and their families on therapy device usage, ensuring understanding and proper care.
• Conduct functional assessments and evaluate community resources to assist clients in their rehabilitation efforts.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited physical therapy program, with a strong foundation in clinical techniques.

• Active physical therapy licensure in New Jersey and any additional states of practice.
• Current CPR certification, ensuring safety in patient care.
• Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance for home visits.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, allowing for effective collaboration with clients, families, and team members.
• Adherence to federal, state, and governing agency regulations as applicable.

Preferred Experience
