Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess the severity and frequency of mood disorder symptoms in clients, gathering detailed personal histories and monitoring changes over time.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to the specific needs, goals, and preferences of your clients, ensuring alignment with best practices and evidence-based methods.

• Utilize therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address mood disorders, anxiety, and adjustment issues, regularly adjusting strategies based on client progress.

• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families, equipping them with crucial information about mood disorders, therapy options, and effective self-care practices to promote healing and resilience.

• Monitor client outcomes diligently and refine treatment approaches to optimize recovery, integrating feedback and clinical insights for continued improvement.

• Collaborate proactively with psychiatrists and other healthcare specialists to ensure comprehensive, integrated care that effectively addresses the multifaceted needs of clients.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments to enhance therapeutic interventions and contribute to quality improvement initiatives.

• Maintain meticulous client records in adherence to legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LMFT at Youth Empowerment Services, you will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety, as well as various other emotional and psychological challenges. This role focuses on serving vulnerable populations, including homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, providing essential therapeutic support to help them overcome barriers to mental wellness.

Qualifications\n

• Must possess an active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
